Persian version of Syrian book to hit Iran book market

Persian version of Syrian author Zakaria Tamer’s short story collection is to be published in Iran.

A Persian version of Syrian author Zakaria Tamer’s short story collection ‘The Thunder’ is to be published in Iran, the translator of the book Gholamreza Emami has announced.

Tamer was introduced to Iranians earlier through his other book translated in Persian many years ago in Iran, Emami explained.

Born January 2, 1931 in Damascus, Syria, Zakaria is an influential master of the Arabic-language short story. He is one of the most important and widely read and translated short story writers in the Arab world

Emami also announced that he has translated the World-famous book ‘Pinocchio’ directly from the main language Italian to Persian for the first time in Iran.

So far, the book had been translated from other non-original languages like English and French.

The veteran Iranian translator remarked that one of Gianni Rodari’s books has been also translated in Persian and is to hit Iran’s book market soon.
